Heath Ledger as the Joker...
It looks like Batman Begins will be doing a sequel. They'll be the same actor for Batman and the same director.

The big question was who would be playing the Joker. It looks like they're going with Heath Ledger, an Australian actor know for his role in the movie Brokeback Mountain. I still haven't seen that movie, believe it or not, but I have seen a Knight's Tale, another successful movie some of you might remember him from.

I think he's a great actor, but you know what I think really landed him this role? Look at that grin! Heh, that looks like the type of grin you'd expect the Joker to have. I just hope he can act out this character, though. He's got some pretty big clown shoes to fill!

Somewhat dissappointing for me, only because I had heard that Robin Williams was going to be playing the alter identity of Jack Napier, and was looking forward to that brand of crazy...

While Robin is a phenomenal actor, and probably would've nailed the role better than anyone... being that this takes place in Batman's earlier years, he's just too old for the part. :/ In the comics, Napier was pretty close to Bruce's age, so being that they picked someone young like Heath, I think this'll work out just fine. ^^;

Now if they'd just clean up that "Ryan Phillipe as Harvey Dent" rumor.... I was seriously envisioning Liev Schreiber for that role.

Personally, I think Crispin Glover would be a better choice for the role of Joker.

Crispin Glover is totally awesome, but I had the same thought Lance did-- I hadn't seen Heath Ledger in anything, then I saw a movie of his and how he flashes that grin and said, hey, that's why he's the Joker!

Hmm that grin might do it for him, that is if he can pull off crazy too.

But come to think of it I've also not seen Brokeback Mountain yet, hmmm
